ABOUT DAWN
For more than a decade, Dawn Lowman has been both a state and nationally certified acupuncturist, qualified by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and licensed to practice by the State of Maryland.

A resident of Severna Park, Maryland, Mrs. Lowman graduated from the Maryland Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine (MITCM) in Bethesda, Maryland in 2002. She has a strong foundation in traditional Chinese medicine, studying under a faculty predominantly trained at Shanghai and Beijing Universities. A Diplomat of Acupuncture, she completed the practical aspects of her training in the Washington, DC area.

Prior to her acupuncture training, Mrs. Lowman attended the University of Maryland in College Park, graduating with a degree in Kinesiology.
​
She is intrigued by the many conditions acupuncture can improve if not fully treat, and has a special interest in overuse injuries such as back and knee pain, digestive disorders, and infertility. She believes that acupuncture is beneficial for any one who is looking to balance their bodies, mind and life.

Both she and her husband Greg, an engineering executive, were raised in Severna Park, Maryland. They are the parents of three daughters who dance, play soccer and ride horses!

They enjoy spending time with family and friends, boating, crabbing and traveling. Mrs. Lowman is an avid reader, enjoys exercising and coffee!
